Printed on the back of the postcard is 'Jewel City "San Francisco—1915."' The year 1915 was when the Panama-Pacific International Exposition was held in San Francisco.

Here is a Hofbrau near me, last time I knew. But when I hear of the name, I think of the "Heartburn Hoffbrau" from "Hogan's Heroes". I've added you to my blogroll. My blog seems to be mostly a postcard blog at this point.
